“The great thing about Karate is that there’s always something new to learn or a way to improve. It can keep things interesting!”

Tamara Yates

Elmira Instructor

Sensei Yates is a 4th dan black belt and has been training in Goshin Jitsu Karate with her Dad (Mark) since she was 4 years old.

She loves teaching kids karate and watching a student gain confidence as they learn new techniques, katas, and self defense moves.

Over the last 5 years she has been perfecting the best methods of teaching self defense and personal safety.

Martial arts classes incorporate these principles and knowledge into their curriculum, but teaching self defense to a non-martial artist is different. They may never come to another seminar again.

Sensei T has worked at this and has seminars designed for different age groups, as well as those specific to girls and women, to get them as much useful information as possible in a shorter amount of time.
